I'm very sorry everyone, but probably withdrawing from the workshop Perhabs a last minute entry, but I won't count on it. Too busy with university and my lawfaculty asked me to be their designer which is quite cool I guess, so need some time for that aswell.

But that won't keep me from making coments! I'm gonna CnC you all till you cry yourself to sleep! *evil laughter*

Aww, that's too bad, Tommy, but good luck with everything, that's awesome!

And Black Friday is what they call the day after Thanksgiving in the US. Stores open early and have tons of sales and people go insane lining up at 4am and try to kill each other other stupid crap that they have to buy their children for Christmas. It's called Black Friday because it's more or less the start of the Christmas shopping season (even though stores start with Christmas stuff usually the week before Halloween), which is what keeps most retailers operating in the black (aka, making a profit as opposed to a loss).

And for those that work in retail? It's pure hell.

Added Aeronwen's donations in the first post.
Thanks Thistle, added your donation too.

Tommy, I forbid you from withdrawing, and since your name will not be removed from the entrants' list, you HAVE to make something!

Congrats on being asked! That is so cool! Wish you all the best with the project, and sure hope you'll have time for entering something in the contests.

First: Congratulations on getting to be the designer for your faculty! It's good fun to be able to help the school out like that, and you might even make a bit of a name as a designer and get lots of monies.

Second: Awwwwwww! :/ I hope you'll manage a last minute entry at least, or something small. Kinda feels a bit strange with so many good artists dropping out from the workshop. Still, no pressure, irl always comes first.

@Verene: Like I said, some people have smaller hands. My fingers go almost up to my hairline, if I have my palm against my chin. That seems to be a medium size or something.... though it's a very rough estimate.

I agree with Marshy, maybe if you slimmed the fingers a bit, the hand would look more feminine. Although I don't think they look manly at all the way they are right now

Marshy: O_O cutecutecutecutecutecute!!!!
I just LOOOOVE talon's sketch *lol*
Dwayna is super cute, and OMG Grenth LOLOL
Polar bears, the mistletoe couple, Gwen + Thackeray....

Marshy, I show this picture to me cup of coffee and I can skip the sugar!!

That is way too cute, Marsh o.o I think Dwayna is my favorite on there XD <3

...also the giant snowglobe gave me an idea. Not for something for this, but something I want to make in general.

Ok, gonna try slimming them down. Thanks for the comments!

@Verene I work in retail...Black Friday makes me wanna cry Like literally. When I get home it takes me probably 2 days to unwind from all the, for lack of a better way to put it, death threats I recieve during the day. I swear its like watching a shopping zombie movie....

@Marsh Love it! Excited to see your progress!

Awww Trish! thats really cute ;3

And its nothing too fancy I'm gonna do Just whenever there needs to be a flyer or a poster or something I create one. So its mainly photomanipulation. Still learning alot :3 Now need to make a A3 poster, something I've never done, so I hope it'll be any good. And its not even sure wether or not I'm gonna take the position They just asked me. But if it means I have almost no time to draw for myself I will reject the offer, cause this week, when study made it unable for me to draw, I only realised how much I love drawing

And I'll try to squeesh something out for the workshop. If the deadline is only like in early januari, then I'll probably be able to do something, since with Chistmas I'm a free man All hail Jesus Christ for giving us lotsa days off

Lol Marsh @ Devon. But it's looking really cute so far, can't wait to see what everyone else is cookin up as well.

@ Verene: I may not work in retail but I work at a doggy daycare/boarding facility, so Thanksgiving through new years is always crazy with tons of dogs from people going on vacation etc. -_- I am so dreading next week.

If I had the time I might try to enter something, probably a RL creation but I'm not sure what...I'm really into Scrapbooking so I might do a RL photoshop manipulation haha. (Xmasy collage with printed out/cut out gw pictures). That'd probably be the easiest thing for me to do...Idk, we'll see. =P

Edit: Who is taking donations again? I think I can find a few goodies on my account I can donate...

Indeed it is crazy. Kinda makes you have a homicidal tendency for a day lol.

So I slimmed the fingers a little bit and made the thumb longer. I think I'm ok with it now. I cropped it because I've started working on the areas behind Dwayna...and I dont wanna give it away yet!

In other news...I've put a tablet on my "stuff I don't need but you're gonna buy me a present anway so heres some stuff I wouldnt mind having" list for my mom for Christmas this year. I insist every year that she doesnt need to get anything for me, that I have all I really need...but she goes and spends money anyway. Don't get to see her much so I guess whatever makes her happy! Hopefully after the holidays I'll have myself a new toy to play with

More people need to start posting WiP's!! I feel like I'm spamming this poor thread

@ Marshmallow: Cute! I can't wait to see the progress!

@frostkisses: I can't wait to see how that develops - that's actually really similar to a concept I've had hanging around in my noggin for the last few years. Looks good already.

I went the cheapy way and decided to not to hand draw anything this year (yet at least) In the past I've gotten so bogged down by how horrible my drawn characters look that I'm never able to finish. I realize this kind of disqualifies me on a skill level basis, I just want to create something I can look at and be proud of instead of horrified by. :P

I disagree mightily, dear sir. Some people think Photoshop is this magic wand to create pretty art.

These people are complete idiots.

And I say that as someone who primarily does photomanipulations and has been working with Photoshop for nearly a decade. It is a tool, just as paper and pencil and paint are. It is simply far more forgiving of mistakes. But it's not a "Press Here For Awesomeness" button - if you lack the ability, no computer program is going to make you awesome.

*gets down from the soapbox*

Sorry ^^; But the idea that any sort of digital art that isn't drawing is easy and requires no skill is something that irritates me greatly.
